The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai has officially inaugurated the Sameera Radhwan Sajan Mosque in Jebel Ali – Industrial Area 3, in the presence of H.E. Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of the Department, H.E. Eng. Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director General of the Dubai Land Department along with executive directors from various sectors and several unit managers.
The mosque accommodates 685 worshippers, with the main prayer hall designed to host 636 male worshippers, in addition to a dedicated women’s prayer area with a capacity of 49 worshippers. The mosque is equipped with all necessary service facilities, including ablution areas, restrooms, and parking, as well as residential quarters for the imam and muezzin, ensuring a fully integrated environment for performing prayers and religious rites.
This opening comes as part of “Dubai Islamic Affairs’” vision to spread mosques and facilitate access for worshippers across the emirate, in line with population growth and urban expansion. It reflects the wise leadership’s commitment to reinforcing Islamic values and strengthening social cohesion.
This mosque represents a new addition to the department’s efforts in this field and serves as a significant support to the emirate’s network of mosques, embodying the spirit of partnership among institutions to support sustainable community development.
