The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has inaugurated the Ibrahim Ali Al-Qarqawi Mosque in the Mirdif area, in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al-Qarqawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al-Muhairi, Director General of IACAD, along with executive directors and several unit managers from IACAD, in addition to retired Major General Ismail Al-Qarqawi and a large gathering of prominent figures, including Mr. Abdullah Hussein Abdullah Ahmed Al-Bahri. This opening is part of IACAD’s ongoing efforts to enhance the infrastructure of mosques, aligning with the community's needs.
The mosque covers an area of 2,226 square meters and can accommodate 478 male worshippers and 66 female worshippers. Its design blends modernity with architectural beauty, featuring an Iwan, indoor parking spaces, and comprehensive facilities that include internal ablution areas. Special spaces for people of determination have been provided, emphasizing IACAD’s commitment to inclusivity and ensuring the comfort of all community members.
This opening represents a new milestone in the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department's mission to offer a comprehensive experience that meets the needs of worshippers while enhancing the role of mosques as centers for worship and community interaction
