The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has inaugurated the Badria Al-Dosari and Her Son Khaled Mohammed bin Dahi Mosque in the Jebel Ali Industrial Area 1. The mosque stands as a new religious and community landmark in Dubai, with a land area of 4,644.97 square meters and a capacity to accommodate up to 4,838 male and female worshippers.
The opening ceremony was graced by His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of IACAD, along with the executive directors of its various sectors. This project was generously donated by Mr. Khaled Mohammed bin Dahi in memory of his mother.
The mosque was built in the traditional local architectural style, reflecting the authentic Emirati identity. It is fully equipped with service facilities to ensure the comfort of worshippers and the smooth performance of prayers.
The mosque accommodates 4,788 male worshippers and 59 female worshippers. It features a spacious iwan (prayer hall), and ablution areas thoughtfully designed to serve all groups, including people of determination. The mosque also includes dedicated housing for the imam and muezzin to ensure continuous religious activity and facilitate the performance of prayers and accompanying programs.
The inauguration of the mosque is a true reflection of community partnership efforts in supporting endowment projects and enhancing the presence of places of worship in industrial and residential areas. It aims to serve workers, residents, and employees in the area and to provide a spiritual environment that helps instill Islamic values within the Emirati society.
