The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has inaugurated the "Ali Youssef Abdullah Al-Dabbous Al-Suwaidi Mosque" in the Al-Yelais First area. This opening is part of IACAD’s plans to expand the network of mosques in Dubai to meet the growing needs of residents for places of worship and to enhance the community role of mosques in Dubai, making them centers of worship, education, and culture that serve the local community.
The mosque was inaugurated in the presence of His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al-Muhairi, Director General of IACAD, along with officials and a group of worshippers.
The mosque is designed according to modern standards and in the Ottoman style, combining authenticity and spirituality. It features spacious areas accommodating a large number of worshippers, with a total capacity of 235 individuals, including 214 men and 21 women, covering a total area of 893.23 square meters. The mosque includes all necessary comfort and safety facilities, including ablution areas and spaces for people of determination.
IACAD is keen on applying the latest sustainability standards in construction and design to ensure a healthy and safe environment for worshippers. It is also striving to enhance the religious infrastructure and the community role of mosques in Dubai, ensuring the highest level of services for all community members, regardless of their diversity.
