IACAD Inaugurates Al Walidayn Mosque in Al Muhaisnah 2 to Promote Giving and Community Values

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department has inaugurated Al Walidayn Mosque in Al Muhaisnah 2, reflecting its strategic mission to expand houses of worship and strengthen religious and social values, in line with the UAE leadership’s vision of promoting a culture of endowment and charitable giving.

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department has inaugurated Al Walidayn Mosque in Al Muhaisnah 2, reflecting its strategic mission to expand houses of worship and strengthen religious and social values, in line with the UAE leadership’s vision of promoting a culture of endowment and charitable giving.

Built on a land area of 5,050 square meters, the mosque accommodates 1,788 worshippers. It was generously funded by Sultan Ahmed Mohammed Lootah, Mohammed Dahi Saeed Al Muhairi, and Moza Zaal Mohammed Lootah, embodying the spirit of social solidarity and humanitarian responsibility that characterizes UAE society.

The mosque features a modern architectural design that combines aesthetic appeal with functionality. It includes a minaret, arcade, men’s prayer hall, accommodation for the imam and muezzin, ablution facilities and restrooms, as well as fully accessible amenities for People of Determination, ensuring inclusivity and ease of access for all members of the community.

The Department affirmed that the inauguration of Al Walidayn Mosque aligns with its strategic plans to develop religious infrastructure, meet the needs of population growth, and reinforce the deeply rooted values of generosity and filial piety in UAE society—further reflecting the country’s standing as a global model for sustainable and humanitarian development.
