The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai inaugurated the “Al Bashaer” Mosque in Dubai Science Park, located in Al Barsha South 2, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance religious infrastructure and provide mosques that meet the highest architectural and service standards. This initiative aligns with Dubai’s urban development and contributes to improving the quality of life for the community.
The Department explained that the mosque was built in a local architectural style inspired by authentic Emirati heritage. It occupies a land area of 2,834.54 square meters and was constructed at a total cost of AED 4,898,634, through the generous support of donor Rashad Mohammed Mohammed Sharif Bukhash. The project reflects the deeply rooted values of generosity, charity, and community giving in the UAE.
The mosque can accommodate 600 worshippers, including 540 men and 60 women. It also features integrated service facilities, including residences for the imam, muezzin, and assistant staff, as well as washing and ablution facilities, water coolers, and dedicated amenities designed to meet the needs of People of Determination, reinforcing inclusivity and accessibility to religious services for all members of society.
The opening of the mosque comes as part of the Department’s commitment to meeting the needs of newly developed residential and urban areas, while strengthening the role of mosques as centers of worship and social cohesion that contribute to stability and peace within the community.
The Department affirmed that the inauguration of “Al Bashaer” Mosque aligns with its strategic plans aimed at developing and sustaining houses of worship across the emirate, according to the highest engineering and service standards, in order to provide a comprehensive spiritual environment that enhances the mosque’s religious, cultural, and humanitarian role in society.
