IACAD Inaugurates “Abdullah Kharbash Abdullah Mosque”

His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of IACAD, inaugurated Abdullah Kharbash Abdullah Mosque, located in Wadi Al Safa II, which was constructed at the expense of Mr. Abdul Muttalib Abdullah Kharbash Abdullah Al Mansouri. The inauguration was attended by Mr. Butti Al Jumairi, Executive Director of the Support Sector in IACAD, and Mr. Mohamed Ali bin Zayed, Executive Director of the Mosques Affairs Sector, and the donor of the construction of the mosque, some of IACAD's employees, and worshipers.

The mosque was constructed in a modern architectural style, and can accommodate 235 worshipers, in addition to a women's prayer room that can accommodate 26 worshipers, while the total area of the mosque is 1525 square meters. The mosque is beautified with a concrete dome, a lighthouse with a height of 22 meters, and includes all service facilities, such as the chapel, ablution, toilets, parking, in addition to a private residence for the imam, and another one for the muezzin.

The inauguration began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech delivered by the preacher in the Department of Religious Education and Guidance in IACAD, Mr. Omar Saad, in which he explained the virtue of building mosques. At the end of the inauguration ceremony, the donor of the mosque was thanked and honored with a copy of the Quran of Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, by the Director General of IACAD.

IACAD attaches great importance to the architecture, management, maintenance and supervision of mosques, based on the sacred symbolism of mosques, and their important role in spreading tolerant Islamic values, and promoting spirituality and social cohesion among members of society. IACAD seeks to achieve this through a moderate approach that enhances the cultural and religious identity of the Emirate of Dubai and achieves the IACAD 's vision to be the best in the world, Islamic and charitable.
