IACAD Honors Winning Teams of the Second Season of the Mosque Management Excellence Award

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai announced the results of the second season of the Mosque Management Excellence Award for 2025, reflecting its strategic direction toward developing the mosque management ecosystem, embedding a culture of institutional excellence, and strengthening the civilizational and community role of mosques as a fundamental pillar in building awareness and social stability.

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai announced the results of the second season of the Mosque Management Excellence Award for 2025, reflecting its strategic direction toward developing the mosque management ecosystem, embedding a culture of institutional excellence, and strengthening the civilizational and community role of mosques as a fundamental pillar in building awareness and social stability.

The award comes within a comprehensive vision aimed at enhancing the quality of performance in mosque management, empowering fieldwork teams, and motivating them to adopt best administrative and operational practices. This ensures mosque readiness, high-quality services for worshippers, and an enhanced experience for visitors to the houses of Allah, in line with Dubai’s objectives for leadership and government excellence. The competition was based on an integrated professional evaluation framework that considered management efficiency, organization, compliance with approved regulations and standards, service quality, teamwork, and innovation. Participating mosques were classified into different categories based on capacity to ensure fairness and equal opportunity.

The results of the second season saw the honoring of several distinguished mosque teams across Dubai. In the category of mosques accommodating more than 800 worshippers in Bur Dubai, the winning mosques were Nad Al Sheba Grand Mosque in Nad Al Sheba First, Imam Al-Shafi’i Mosque in Al Badaa, and Ali Al Hajj Mosque in Al Barsha South First.

In the category of mosques accommodating between 401 and 800 worshippers, awards went to the teams of Abdullah Ali Al Shaafar Mosque in Jebel Ali First, Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque in Al Safa First, and Ramram Mosque in Al Hebiah Fifth. In the third category, mosques accommodating fewer than 400 worshippers, the winning teams were Sheikh Majran bin Mohammed Al Murr Mosque, Bin Abed Mosque, and Saeed bin Huzaym Mosque, all located in Umm Suqeim Second, in recognition of their outstanding performance and service quality.

In Deira, the results included the category of mosques accommodating more than 800 worshippers, with awards going to Fatima bint Mohammed Mosque in Nad Al Hamar, Imam Malik bin Anas Mosque in Al Waheda, and Ubaid Al Helo Mosque in Wadi Al Amardi. In the category of mosques accommodating between 401 and 800 worshippers, the winning teams were Mohammed Sharif Asad Al Fahaim Mosque in Nad Al Hamar, Hessa bint Ahmed Al Raisi Mosque in Oud Al Muteena Second, and Al Farooq Mosque in Al Mizhar First. In the category of mosques accommodating fewer than 400 worshippers, awards went to Nasser Lootah Mosque in Hor Al Anz, Fatima Abdullah Ahli Mosque in Al Mizhar Third, and Abdullah Ahmed bin Rafee’a Mosque in Al Aweer Second.

In the category of external area mosques accommodating more than 800 worshippers, the winning teams were Su’eir Grand Mosque in Hatta, Ubaid Al Helo Mosque in Lehbab First, and Sheikha Sanaa bint Manaa Al Maktoum Mosque in Hatta. In the category of external area mosques accommodating between 401 and 800 worshippers, the awards went to Marqab Grand Mosque in Al Faqa, Madan Mosque in Al Hebiah Sixth, and Al Rayyan Mosque in Hatta.

In the category of external area mosques accommodating fewer than 400 worshippers, the winning teams were Abdullah bin Al Zubair Mosque in Lehbab First, Shaabiat Su’eir Mosque in Hatta, and Margham Mosque in Al Maha.

In this context, His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, affirmed that launching the second season of the Mosque Management Excellence Award embodies the department’s shift from traditional operational management to an integrated institutional approach based on quality, sustainability, and maximizing impact, placing people and community needs at the heart of its priorities.

He explained that mosques in Dubai have become active community platforms that contribute to instilling values, raising awareness, and building social cohesion. He noted that this award represents a sustainable development tool that invests in work teams, enhances positive competition, and opens horizons for innovation in mosque management, in line with community aspirations and future needs.

The department emphasized that the continued organization of the award across successive seasons reflects its commitment to developing the mosque management system according to best practices, raising operational and service readiness, and reinforcing the position of Dubai’s mosques as leading models of institutional excellence. This aligns with the emirate’s future vision and reflects its deep care for mosques and their pivotal role in sustainable community development.
