IACAD honors Dubai government employees in the "Hafiz Employee Competition"

Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities: The "Employee Al-Hafiz Competition" initiative, launched by the Maktoum Centers Department for Memorizing the Holy Qur'an of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai as part of the Ramadan activities in Dubai, witnessed a lively participation of employees from different government departments of the Government of Dubai and strong competitions between participants of both genders.

The management of the centers had announced the launch of the competition after announcing the opening of registration for it on the 27th of last Sha'ban, and it lasted until the seventh day of the blessed month of Ramadan. Then, on the twelfth day of the holy month, the three-day final competition was held under the supervision of a special committee formed by a professional jury composed of eminent personalities from the management of the Maktoum centers for memorizing the Noble Qur'an with experience and expertise in this field to guide and arbitrate the competition.

His Excellency the Director General of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities, Hamad bin Sheikh Ahmed Al-Shaibani, thanked all participating government departments and stressed that this competition in its first version is only the beginning of other versions that will continue annually, God willing, to become a great Ramadan motivation contest held every year under the same motto (of Hafiz employees) for the employees of the Government of Dubai and under the supervision of the Maktoum Center for Memorization of the Holy Quran of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities. He praised the great efforts of the participants, organizers and evaluators, people with honor and competence.

d Al-Shaibani added: "In this holy month and in this venerable atmosphere of the Quran, I can only confirm that the most honorable and pure actions through which the believer seeks closeness to God Almighty is memorizing and reciting the Holy Quran, there is no greater speech than what is written in it, because it is the word of God Almighty."

The competition, which included the two branches of memorizing the last three parts of the noble Quran and the "Amm" part, in which 12 participants won, was appreciated by His Excellency the Director of the Department. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the organizing committee for the performance of the Holy Quran. The committee consisted of eminent personalities who supervised the activities of the competition and the examination, evaluation and awarding of the participants.

For his part, Hamad Muhammad Al-Khazraji, Director of the Maktoum Centers Department for the Commemoration of the Holy Qur'an, said that the Department of Centers, which is affiliated to the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, attached great importance to excluding the holders of religious professions from participating in the honorable competition in order to promote the spirit of self-competition among the participants. The number of participants reached 68 candidates. And these names were filtered after study and evaluation by the honorary committee until a certain number was reached, which was limited to the most qualified memorizers. The contest ended on the sixteenth of the blessed month of Ramadan, after the results of the participants had been verified with the help of modern and advanced electronic programs developed for this kind of contests, while all other participants received a certificate of thanks and recognition. An invitation to the management of the Maktoum centers for memorizing the noble Quran for employees who consider themselves qualified to advance in the upcoming sessions in support of this type of these proper religious initiatives and participate in the noble Quran competitions.

Al-Khazraji added that the department of the Maktoum Center for the memorization of the Holy Quran has also announced another initiative related to this competition, namely the "Quranic Family Initiative", which will take the form of specialized workshops to correct the recitation of the Holy Quran for each family member under the supervision of eminent personalities specialized in this field. Daily during the blessed month, from 10 pm, through communication with the target audience using modern technologies of remote communication.
