The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) has inaugurated the Ibrahim Bin Wali Mosque in the Umm Suqeim 3 area – Madinat Jumeirah Living. This comes as part of the department’s continuous efforts to provide houses of worship across the emirate, meeting the needs of residents and enhancing Dubai’s religious and urban infrastructure.
The mosque was built on a land area of 1,003.94 square meters, with a total capacity of 360 worshippers — 290 for men and 70 for women — at a total cost of AED 3,350,000. The project was generously funded by philanthropist Feroz Ibrahim Bakhsh, within the framework of community partnership that the department promotes with donors and benefactors to support charitable and endowment initiatives across the emirate.
The mosque features a modern architectural style that reflects the spirit of Islamic architecture in a contemporary and renewed form. Its design prioritizes comfort for worshippers and includes comprehensive facilities that cater to their various needs, such as dedicated prayer halls for men and women, a spacious courtyard, accommodation for the imam, muezzin, and support staff, in addition to ablution areas, restrooms, and prayer facilities accessible to people of determination — all in line with the department’s commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in its religious and community projects.
Through such endowment initiatives, the department continues to expand and develop the network of mosques in Dubai according to the highest cultural and service standards, reaffirming its pioneering role in strengthening religious values and promoting sustainable community development. This initiative embodies a noble message that unites worship and generosity, translating Dubai’s vision of building a balanced society deeply connected to its national and human values.
