The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai announced its contribution of AED one million in support of the "Father's Endowment" campaign, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, in conjunction with the blessed month of Ramadan.
The campaign aims to honor fathers in the UAE by establishing a sustainable endowment fund worth AED one billion, with its proceeds dedicated to providing treatment and healthcare for the poor, needy, and those unable to afford it.
This initiative reflects the noble values upheld by the UAE in promoting filial piety, fostering concepts of compassion and social solidarity, and highlighting the pivotal role of fathers in building the family and community. The campaign also aims to provide healthcare to the needy in underprivileged communities worldwide, further solidifying the UAE's position in charitable and humanitarian work at both the regional and international levels.
Appreciation and Gratitude
His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al-Muhairi, Director-General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, confirmed that IACAD’s contribution to the "Father's Endowment" campaign stems from its firm commitment to supporting community and humanitarian initiatives that promote values of solidarity and generosity. He said: "The father is the cornerstone of building the family and society, and his role in raising generations and instilling noble values is priceless. Based on this esteemed position, the department contributes to the campaign, so this endowment will be in the name of the fathers of the department's employees and the fathers of all donors, honoring their efforts and contributions that helped build generations capable of continuing the path of goodness and prosperity."
Al-Muhairi added, "This humanitarian initiative, which coincides with the blessed month of Ramadan, is an expression of gratitude and appreciation for those who have passed away, and we pray that God grants long life to those who remain. We ask Allah to make this contribution a light and a continuous charity for them, bringing blessings and goodness to all."
