The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has announced the completion of its preparations for Eid Al-Adha prayers across 937 mosques throughout the emirate. The prayer will be held at 5:45 AM on Wednesday, 27 May 2026, as part of a comprehensive operational plan aimed at providing a safe, spiritually uplifting, and well-prepared environment for worshippers to perform the prayer with ease and tranquility.

This year’s Eid prayers will also witness the participation of members of the “Mu’adhin Al Freej” initiative, who will lead the call to prayer and Eid takbeerat in mosques across Dubai, reflecting the spirit of community participation and contributing to the revival of Islamic rituals and traditions.

The Department stated that Eid takbeerat led by participants of Mu’adhin Al Freej will be heard across mosques throughout the emirate, creating a spiritual atmosphere that reflects the joy of the occasion and enhances the festive spirit within the community. This initiative forms part of the Department’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the connection of younger generations with religious practices while reinforcing Emirati identity and authentic Islamic values.

The Department also encouraged parents to motivate their children to attend Eid prayers and participate in the takbeerat, highlighting the important role such experiences play in instilling religious values and deepening children’s connection to Islamic occasions and their spiritual and social significance.

In addition, the Department affirmed its commitment to ensuring the highest standards of readiness across mosque facilities and supporting services, in line with operational efficiency and public safety requirements. These efforts reflect Dubai’s distinguished approach to organizing religious occasions and enhancing the quality of services provided to the community.

The Department also called on members of the public to arrive early at approved prayer locations, according to the updated list of mosques published on its official platforms, and to cooperate with the organizing authorities to support smooth traffic flow and ensure ease of entry and exit.

On this occasion, His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai; Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence; the Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers; as well as to the people and residents of the UAE. He prayed that this blessed occasion may return upon all with goodness, prosperity, and blessings.

His Excellency added that Eid Al-Adha embodies the values of devotion, compassion, and solidarity, and reflects the unity and social cohesion that characterize the UAE community. He noted that the readiness of Eid prayer venues is an extension of the Department’s ongoing commitment to caring for mosques, honoring Islamic rituals, and enabling members of the community to perform their worship in an atmosphere of serenity, organization, and excellence in service
