The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai continues its supervisory and organizational efforts for Ramadan Iftar initiatives across the emirate. As of the 20th day of Ramadan, the total number of meal distribution locations has reached 1,839 sites, including 113 Ramadan tents and 1,726 locations for distributing Iftar meals across various areas and neighborhoods.

These efforts are carried out within an integrated operational framework through which the department approves, organizes, and monitors the locations to ensure that charitable initiatives are implemented according to clear regulations reflecting the highest standards of organization and compliance.

According to available data, these locations collectively provide more than 20 million Iftar meals across different areas of Dubai. This includes over 116,000 meals served daily inside Ramadan tents, in addition to more than 18 million meals distributed through multiple sites across the emirate. This reflects the broad scope of charitable work and the strong community engagement with Iftar initiatives during the holy month.

Abdulrahman Yousuf Ali, Head of the Charitable Institutions and Events Licensing Section, affirmed that the department is committed to managing and organizing these initiatives through a precise system based on transparency, discipline, and compliance with regulatory and health requirements. This is achieved by approving sites in advance, conducting field follow-ups, and ensuring that organizing entities adhere to the approved standards, guaranteeing that meals reach beneficiaries in an organized and safe manner that preserves their dignity and enhances the quality of charitable work.

He added that this level of organization reflects Dubai’s civilizational model in managing humanitarian work, where community generosity meets governance and institutional organization. As a result, Iftar initiatives have become a model that embodies the values of solidarity and compassion that characterize Emirati society, while also demonstrating the emirate’s approach to delivering charitable work in an organized and sustainable manner that aligns with Dubai’s global standing.
