Reflecting the clear success of the Al Fareej Nursery initiative and its responsiveness to community needs, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, in cooperation with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), continued to achieve a tangible educational impact during the 2025–2026 academic year through the Umm Al Sheif Islamic Cultural Center and the Al Mizhar Islamic Cultural Center branches. The total number of beneficiary children reached 90, including 41 children at the Umm Al Sheif branch and 49 children at the Al Mizhar branch, indicating growing demand for this integrated educational model and affirming the sound decision to expand and open the Al Mizhar branch in response to this demand.
The opening of the Al Fareej Nursery branch at the Al Mizhar Islamic Cultural Center came as part of a strategic vision aimed at expanding early childhood education services and providing a learning environment close to families that integrates education with values and sound behavioral upbringing. During the first academic term, the branch implemented a series of educational and awareness activities focused on instilling concepts of respect and tolerance, enhancing health awareness, and fostering scientific curiosity among children. This was complemented by national and cultural activities that contribute to nurturing loyalty and a sense of belonging to the nation from an early age, within a framework that combines entertainment with purposeful learning.
At the Umm Al Sheif Islamic Cultural Center branch, Al Fareej Nursery continued its advanced educational role by implementing a diverse range of national, awareness, and educational activities that reflected the comprehensiveness of the adopted curriculum in building a child’s character. The programs focused on reinforcing national identity through celebrating national occasions, developing safety skills and emergency preparedness, stimulating scientific thinking and a love of exploration, enhancing health awareness and environmental sustainability, developing language skills and pride in the Arabic language, and appreciating the role of teachers in the educational process.
Hamda Saif Al Mutaiwi, Supervisor of Al Fareej Nursery, affirmed that the nursery represents a practical model embodying the Department’s vision for developing early childhood education through an integrated curriculum that balances knowledge, values, and practical upbringing, and works to prepare aware, creative children capable of positive interaction with their community.
These outcomes reflect the Department’s commitment to its strategic plans to invest in early childhood as the cornerstone of human development, strengthen national identity, and instill social values from the earliest stages, in line with the vision of the wise leadership to build a conscious, cohesive Emirati society capable of continuing the journey of development and excellence.
