The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai organized the “Haq Al Laila” mid-Sha’ban event at the Umm Al Sheif Islamic Cultural Center, as part of the Al Wulfa Season, in alignment with the objectives of the Year of the Family and in support of preserving popular heritage within the collective community consciousness.
The event witnessed the participation of more than 200 women and children from the neighborhood, in an interactive atmosphere that embodied the values of family cohesion and community solidarity. It brought families together in a safe environment reflecting the spirit of neighborliness and social solidarity that characterizes Emirati society.
The event featured a diverse range of cultural, educational, and recreational activities, thoughtfully designed to suit different age groups. These activities introduced younger generations to the heritage of “Haq Al Laila” through a contemporary approach that combines enjoyment with learning, while reinforcing positive social values and a sense of community belonging.
This initiative reaffirms the Department’s commitment to supporting the wise leadership’s vision for the Year of the Family, and to strengthening the role of community programs in building cohesive families and a compassionate society. It reflects IACAD’s mission to serve the community and preserve its cultural identity, achieving a sustainable social impact through its programs and initiatives.
