As part of efforts to enhance awareness and develop communication skills between parents and educational institutions, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, under the Ghiras Al-Khair initiative and in collaboration with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, organized an online lecture for women only titled "Our Children and Values: Building a Generation with Strong Principles."
The lecture attracted a wide audience, including parents and members of the educational staff. Dr. Hessa Khalfan Al-Jafla Al-Mansoori, Senior Researcher, highlighted the current challenges facing society in instilling values in an era of rapid digital and cultural transformations. The discussions focused on the importance of the complementary role between families and schools in raising balanced and aware generations. Practical strategies for instilling positive values were shared, which are essential for building a prosperous and sustainable society.
The lecturer emphasized that children today need more than just academic education; they require guidance that instills values such as honesty, respect, and teamwork, which will help them face challenges with a sense of responsibility. She also stressed the importance of leveraging community initiatives like Ghiras Al-Khair to unite the efforts of educational institutions and families in nurturing the new generation.
Such initiatives represent a fundamental pillar in the journey of the UAE community, which places ethical values at the heart of its priorities. Its commitment to raising future generations contributes to achieving sustainable development.
