The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai concluded the "Ayal Al-Freej" event on the 20th of Ramadan, after it brought smiles to the faces of children and families. The event contributed significantly to enhancing religious awareness and fostering Islamic values among the youth, through interactive and educational activities organized in mosques and community centers. This was in line with the Year of Community and IACAD’s strategy of being closer to the community.
Although the main event has ended, the accompanying initiatives launched by IACAD continue. Among the key initiatives is the "Fitrah Eyal Al-Freej" program, which runs until the 28th of Ramadan. This initiative aims to instill the concept of Zakat al-Fitr in children in a practical way by involving them in the preparation and distribution of Zakat under the supervision of a group of religious counselors, in order to instill the values of solidarity and mercy in their hearts from a young age, at a selected mosque during this period.
The "Ice Cream Truck" event also continues, spreading joy in residential neighborhoods through a bus that travels around distributing sweets to children, creating a lively community scene that embodies the spirit of the holy month, based on affection and compassion.
In preparation for Eid al-Fitr, IACAD announced the organization of the "Eid Gift Distribution" event at the Umm Alsheif Cultural Islamic Center and Al Mizhar Cultural Islamic Center, from the 24th to the 27th of Ramadan, every day from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. This initiative aims to bring joy to the hearts of children and reinforce the values of giving and community participation.
On this occasion, Mohammed Musabeh Dhahi, the Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector and the General Coordinator of the "Ramadan in Dubai" initiative, emphasized that the "Eyal Al-Freej" events are a living example of the educational and humanitarian role that community initiatives can play. He said, "We don’t just bring joy, we instill the meanings of mercy and solidarity in the hearts of the younger generations. These initiatives stem from a deep belief that children are the cornerstone of building a cohesive, compassionate community that is tied to its values and identity."
Dhahi also confirmed that The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department continues its efforts to make mosques vibrant community centers, through events that bring children closer to their religious environment and integrate them into purposeful interactive activities.
IACAD invites all members of the community to participate in these remaining events and contribute to spreading joy and happiness during these blessed days.
