As part of its ongoing efforts to promote family and social values derived from the teachings of our noble religion, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai is set to host an awareness lecture titled “Where Do We Stand on the Worship of Family Ties?” This event is part of the Department’s family-focused program “Family Pulse” and will be presented by Ms. Muna Tarish Al Alili on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Nad Al Sheba Mosque – Nad Al Sheba 4. Remote participation will also be available.
The lecture will address several key themes aimed at enhancing religious and social awareness within the community, including the virtues of maintaining family ties, legitimate forms of family communication, as well as the causes of estrangement among relatives and how to overcome them in the face of modern-day challenges.
The primary objective of the lecture is to reinforce the concept of maintaining family ties (Silat Al-Rahim) as a noble act of worship that contributes to the cohesion and stability of society. It will emphasize its importance as a cornerstone of sound social structure, aligning with the wise leadership’s vision of building a connected, compassionate, and supportive society.
This event is part of a broader series of awareness activities carried out by the Department to activate the role of Emirati families in spreading affection and mercy among community members and promoting authentic Islamic values — values that lie at the heart of the Department’s vision to be the closest institution to the community.
