As part of its ongoing efforts to serve the Quran and prepare national memorizers to participate in international forums, the Dubai International Quran Award, of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, has announced the nomination of two contestants to represent the United Arab Emirates in the Hashemite International Quran Competition, organized by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The contestant Omar Maamar Omar Banbila has been chosen to participate in the male competition, scheduled to be held from the 20th to the 26th of Ramadan 1446 AH, while the contestant Aisha Abdulrahman Abdulatif has been nominated to represent the UAE in the female competition, which will take place from the 21st to the 26th of Shawwal 1446 AH.
Ibrahim Jassim Al-Mansoori from the Dubai International Quran Award confirmed that IACAD is keen on nominating a distinguished group of national memorizers to represent the country in these competitions. This is part of its ongoing support for the memorizers of the Book of Allah and to enhance their status in international forums. He pointed out that these participations reflect the advanced level achieved by Quran memorizers in the UAE.
The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai expressed its best wishes for the contestants, wishing them success and emphasizing its continued support to help them achieve distinguished results that reflect the high level of Emirati memorizers in international Quranic competitions.
