The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai received a delegation from the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat in Abu Dhabi at the headquarters of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award. The visit was part of a professional benchmarking initiative aimed at reviewing best institutional practices in organizing international Quran competitions.
The visit included an introductory and field tour of the Award’s facilities, an overview of its approved operational mechanisms, and discussions on ways to exchange expertise, enhance institutional coordination, and strengthen cooperation between the two entities. This contributes to advancing Quranic initiatives and reinforcing their societal impact, in line with the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership and the priorities of the Year of the Family in building individuals and promoting noble Islamic values.
The visiting delegation included: Mubarak Ahmed Al Hosani, Director of the Emirates International Holy Quran Award Office; Aisha Mohammed Al Hammadi, Director of the Quran Education Department; Abdulrahman Saeed Al Baloushi, Senior Executive for Coordination and Follow-up; Maha Mohammed Hamad, Senior Executive for Quran Education Programs and Activities; Waleed Khaled Al Kaabi, Senior Executive for Coordination and Follow-up; and Nahed Salem Ahmed, Religious Competencies Assessment Executive.
Ibrahim Jassim Al Mansoori, Acting Director of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, affirmed that the visit reflects the Department’s approach to institutional openness and the exchange of expertise with peer entities, contributing to the development of the Quranic work ecosystem in accordance with international best practices. He noted that the Dubai International Holy Quran Award represents an integrated institutional model in governance, organization, and sustainability, based on innovation and maximizing societal impact.
Al Mansoori added that the Department is keen to leverage its accumulated expertise and strategic standards, in line with global best practices, to build effective institutional partnerships that contribute to conveying the message of the Holy Quran globally and strengthening its humanistic and civilizational presence, in harmony with the directives of the wise leadership.
This visit underscores the Department’s pioneering role in supporting Quranic initiatives and enhancing sustainable institutional partnerships that serve the community and reinforce the UAE’s identity and tolerant Islamic values.
