Two donors have contributed AED 9,133 to renew the health insurance card for "Abu Arshad" (an Afghan national, 71 years old). The donation process was coordinated between the donors and the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department to transfer the amount to the relevant authorities. "Abu Arshad" expressed his deep gratitude to the donors for their support during these difficult times, praising the humanitarian spirit of the people of the UAE, who are always quick to offer help and stand by those in need.
The patient suffers from chronic kidney failure, a condition that has worsened significantly in recent years, requiring urgent intervention. He needs ongoing dialysis sessions at the Tawam Dialysis Center in Al Ain, in addition to medications for diabetes, hypertension, and cholesterol. Earlier this month, Emirates Today published details on November 12 about "Abu Arshad's" battle with kidney failure and his constant need for dialysis at Tawam Center, along with the necessity to renew his health insurance card, which had expired, in order to continue receiving medical care. A medical report from Tawam Hospital confirmed that the patient, suffering from severe kidney failure, urgently needs the renewal of his health insurance, as failure to maintain treatment would lead to a rapid deterioration in his health.
"Abu Arshad" previously shared his experience of deteriorating health, which began 10 years ago due to diabetes, followed by high blood pressure and cholesterol. One day, he experienced severe abdominal pain and difficulty with bowel movements, prompting him to visit Tawam Hospital. After tests, it was revealed that he was suffering from kidney failure, and he urgently began dialysis sessions.
"Abu Arshad" emphasized that this donation is not surprising given the generosity of the people of the UAE, who consistently demonstrate their willingness to support humanitarian cases and assist those in need during challenging times.
