The children of Emirati citizen Abu Salem have returned to school after a generous donor stepped in to settle their overdue school fees, totaling AED 44,065, for the previous academic year. This compassionate gesture enabled the children to resume their education after a period of forced absence. The donation was coordinated through the "Hotline" service in partnership with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, which facilitated the transfer of the amount directly to the children's school account.

Emarat Al Youm had earlier reported, on September 29, the distressing situation faced by Abu Salem, who was unable to pay his children’s school fees—Salem (8 years old, Grade 3), Noha (15, Grade 10), and Naema (16, Grade 11)—due to a significant decline in his financial condition after his monthly salary was reduced to AED 5,700 following a restructuring at his workplace in August 2023.

Abu Salem expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the donor, stating that the support had eased a heavy burden and brought joy back to his family. His children, who had previously shown strong academic performance, were deeply affected by their sudden removal from school due to circumstances beyond their control.

He further explained that his worsening financial situation had led to accumulating debts and instability within the household. Despite knocking on many doors for help, no assistance was forthcoming—until this benevolent act turned things around.

He concluded by thanking everyone involved in ending his family’s ordeal and expressed hope that this support would positively impact his children’s academic future.
