Donor has taken on the responsibility of renewing the health insurance for "Umm Hassam" in coordination with IACAD and "Hotline"

A generous donor was able to end the suffering of the patient "Umm Hassam" (83 years old) by paying 9,919 dirhams on her behalf, allowing her to renew her health insurance card and continue receiving treatment. "Umm Hassam" suffers from osteoporosis, diabetes, and high blood pressure, conditions that require continuous medical monitoring and regular treatment. The donor coordinated with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai through the "Hotline," and the donation was transferred to the health insurance company to renew her card. The patient's son expressed deep gratitude and appreciation for the donor, recognizing the assistance that came at a crucial time.

Previously, the patient's son had appealed through "Emirates Today" to kind-hearted individuals to help renew his mother's health insurance card, fearing for her life due to the suspension of her health insurance coverage. He mentioned that his financial situation was extremely limited and he could not raise the required amount.

"Emirates Today" had previously published the story of "Umm Hassam," who suffers from multiple chronic diseases, necessitating continued treatment and follow-up at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City Hospital in Abu Dhabi. With her son unable to renew her health insurance due to financial difficulties after losing his job, the family's concerns for her health grew.

The son explained that he was the sole breadwinner for his family of six, but the company he worked for had decided to terminate his employment. While searching for a new job, he expressed hope that he would be able to find a source of income to meet his family's needs and continue his mother's treatment.
