Patient "Abu Al-Hassan" has received a donation of AED 65,674 from a generous donor, after the coordination between the donor and The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai. The amount has been transferred to the patient's account at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, enabling him to receive the urgent medical treatment he needs. The funds will cover the costs of his treatment at the hospital.
Abu Al-Hassan, who has been suffering from chronic kidney issues for years, underwent the removal of both kidneys and a kidney transplant on the right side in 2007 at a specialized hospital in Syria. Recently, his health has deteriorated further, and he now requires specific medications to manage his condition, in addition to needing a corneal transplant for his eye. These treatments require intensive care at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City. Despite his urgent need for these procedures, Abu Al-Hassan was unable to afford the high treatment costs, prompting him to seek help from kind-hearted individuals.
Abu Al-Hassan expressed his deep gratitude to the donor, saying that this support reflects the generosity and compassion of the UAE people, who are always ready to help those in need. He added that this donation would significantly improve his health condition, which has become a major challenge due to both his financial and medical struggles.
Abu Al-Hassan's suffering was highlighted in May, where he shared that he has been battling chronic kidney failure, along with other health issues such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol. He also suffers from severe headaches and dizziness. His condition worsened suddenly, leading to a loss of consciousness while having a meal with his sister. He was subsequently rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Due to his high blood pressure, Abu Al-Hassan lost vision in his left eye and urgently needs a corneal transplant. He currently lives with his sister and her family in the UAE after he was forced to leave his job due to his deteriorating health. His brother-in-law is the main breadwinner for the family.
Abu Al-Hassan emphasized that his treatment requires strict adherence to a special diet, along with medications for his kidney, blood pressure, and cholesterol issues. He must also undergo regular check-ups to monitor his worsening health condition.
