In conjunction with the International Day of Older Persons, and as part of enhancing community relations and supporting senior citizens, a delegation from the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai visited the Senior Citizens Happiness Center in Al Mamzar. The visit featured a range of activities and events that were warmly welcomed by the center’s attendees.
The visit commenced with a fun sports challenge and traditional recreational games organized in collaboration with the department’s sports committee. These activities saw significant engagement from senior citizens, contributing to an atmosphere of excitement and joy. A comprehensive workshop was also held to introduce the "Dulook" app, which enables senior citizens to easily access a variety of services via smartphones, thereby enhancing their experience with technology in their daily lives.
In an innovative step, senior citizens had the opportunity to experience a virtual reality journey provided by the Youth Vision Council, adding a modern and unique dimension to the day’s events. The visit concluded with the distribution of commemorative gifts to senior citizens, reflecting the department's commitment to enhancing their experience and providing enjoyable and beneficial moments.
