The final rounds of the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Quran Competition continued for the third day, organized by the Dubai International Holy Quran Award under the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai. The competition witnessed heartfelt and melodious recitations that reflected the beauty of performance and the spirit of competition in the memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran. Participants included distinguished memorizers and contestants from various emirates of the UAE, along with residents of multiple nationalities such as Egypt, Turkey, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates. They competed across various levels of Quran memorization, including thirty parts, twenty parts, ten parts, as well as the five-part, three-part, and Juz’ Amma categories.
Participants in the third day's qualifiers included:
Taha Ali Hussein Ashour from Egypt in the first category (30 parts), Idris Abdullah Abdullah from Turkey in the second category (20 parts from the end), Aseel Mohammed Maji Shian from Taiwan in the same category, and Abdullatif Ishaq Abdullatif from the UAE in the third category (10 parts from the beginning).
Additionally, competitors in the fourth to seventh categories included: Omar Mohammed Ali, Abdullah Salem Al Mazmi, Marwan Ahmed Al Marzouqi, Saeed Khalid Obaid Mohammed, Hamad Abdullah Al Teneiji, Abdullah Khalid Zaidani, and Saif Hassan Al Khatri, all of whom showcased remarkable proficiency in memorization and Tajweed.
The judging committees praised the high level of accuracy, eloquence, and command of recitation rules demonstrated by the participants, noting the evident mastery of pronunciation, performance, and memorization. This reflects the strong preparation and dedication that distinguish competitors in this renowned competition.
