The final rounds of the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Quran Competition continued on its second day, organized by the Dubai International Holy Quran Award under the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai. The proceedings took place in an atmosphere filled with faith and reverence, as contestants underwent memorization and recitation evaluations across various levels of the competition.
The first day witnessed exceptional performances by 11 contestants representing various emirates of the UAE, competing in memorization levels of 30 Juz’, 20 Juz’, 10 Juz’, 5 Juz’, 3 Juz’, and Juz’ Amma. On the second day, 12 contestants from Bangladesh, Taiwan, India, Egypt, Mali, and the United Arab Emirates are competing, reflecting the diversity and esteemed status of the competition among Quranic contests at the local level.
Among the most notable participants on the second day are: Muhsin Reza Muhammad Abdul Muqeet Abdul Muqeet bin Maqdis Ali (Bangladesh) and Hisham Muhammad Maji Xian (Taiwan) in the 30 Juz’ category, Muhammad Anas Hussein (India) in the 20 Juz’ category, Abdullah Ibrahim Al Shamsi (UAE) representing the Ras Al Khaimah Foundation for the Holy Quran and its Sciences in the 10 Juz’ (from the beginning) category.
Additionally, Abdulrahman Muhammad Abu Zaid, Omar Muhammad Abu Zaid, Amir Abdullah Abdul Shahid, and Muhammad Adam Si are competing in the 10 Juz’ (from the end) category. In the Juz’ Amma category, participants include Khalid Ahmed Al Qusaydi Al Shehhi, Abdullah Abdulrazzaq Al Faheem, Muhammad Yousuf Al Housani, and Ahmed Jamal Al Aajil.
The Department affirmed that the competition continues to progress confidently toward fulfilling its mission of strengthening the status of the Holy Quran, instilling reverence and reflection among younger generations, and promoting the leadership’s vision of enhancing Islamic values and spreading the message of tolerance and moderation.
The judging panel praised the advanced level of the participants, noting that the precision of standards and comprehensiveness of the evaluation process ensure fairness and elevate the overall quality of performance throughout the competition.
