The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai continues its efforts to strengthen community ties and instill Islamic values through the " Ayal Al-Freej " initiative. In the first week of the holy month of Ramadan, over 2,000 children participated in 195 mosques across various areas in Dubai. This initiative responded to the community’s needs by increasing the number of accredited mosques, along with distributing more than 1,200 motivational vouchers to participants.
This initiative reflects IACAD’s commitment to supporting the younger generation and strengthening their connection with the mosques, contributing to the development of a generation that is aware of its religious and social values.
Mohammed Musabeh Ali Dhahi, Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector and General Coordinator of Ramadan Initiatives in Dubai, explained that the initiative embodies the core values of Emirati society, aiming to deepen children's connection to mosques through innovative methods that meet the community’s needs. He added, "The large turnout and interaction during the first week highlight the importance of such events in strengthening their relationship with mosques and establishing regular prayer as a daily habit during the holy month and beyond."
This initiative aligns with IACAD’s vision to be closer to the community by understanding and addressing its needs with innovative initiatives that touch the lives of individuals and families. The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai also reaffirmed its commitment to providing all necessary resources and coordinating efforts to maximize benefits for children and their families. This is done through activating the role of mosques as community and educational centers within residential neighborhoods.
These efforts are part of IACAD’s strategic goals to promote religious awareness and ethical values among the younger generation, ensuring their continuity in daily life.
