The Research Department of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai issued a book entitled “Arabic Criteria for Correction" by Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al-Maghribi, Senior Researcher, in 128 pages. A book explains the scientific methodology for linguistic correction.
The author stated that the reason for writing this publication is due to the difference of linguists in past and present, in judging some expressions as correct and wrong. Some of them correct or mistaken a term without mentioning the reason because of failure to adhere to a unified scientific methodology in correction, stressing that the publication sets objective critical criteria for linguistic correction.
The publication aims to present the criteria, as the author covered two chapters in which he touched on fourteen criteria, beginning with the Holy Qur’an and ending with sculpture, while the second chapter deals with the application of criteria for correction.
“Arabic Criteria for Correction" is available in its e-version on IACAD website in the e-publications section for the intellectuals and those who seek knowledge.
