Al-Freij Mutwaa’" Initiative Sees High Enrollment Since its Launch

In a move aimed at enhancing the role of women in providing social and educational support to community members, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) has launched the "Al-Freij Mutwaa" initiative. This educational platform focuses on the learning and memorization of the Holy Quran remotely using modern and advanced teaching methods through computers and tablets.

In a move aimed at enhancing the role of women in providing social and educational support to community members, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) has launched the "Al-Freij Mutwaa" initiative. This educational platform focuses on the learning and memorization of the Holy Quran remotely using modern and advanced teaching methods through computers and tablets.  

The initiative has witnessed significant interest from applicants across various age groups, aiming to empower retired female teachers to educate the future generation and provide educational and social support.  

The number of applicants for the initiative has exceeded 480 registrations, including more than 36 applications from people of determination, over 44 from senior female citizens, and more than 400 applications from young girls aged 16 and above. Additionally, over 240 applications have been received for registration as teachers since the announcement of the initiative.  

Ms. Muna Mattar Al-Falasi, Head of students and Teachers section at the Maktoum Centers for the Quran and its Sciences, confirmed that the number of young women participating in the "Al-Freij Mutwaa" initiative is increasing noticeably, reflecting their deep passion for knowledge and faith.  

Al Falasi emphasized that this initiative is not limited to teaching the targeted female audience the Quran and Tajweed; it also promotes values of faith and ethics by providing a certified educational platform that combines the teaching of the Quran, Islamic sciences, morals, and etiquette, alongside some interactive life skills. She noted that the growing interest among young women in this initiative demonstrates their strong commitment to enhancing their Islamic and national identity derived from the customs and traditions of our noble Islamic faith.
