The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, has launched its winter activities under the unified umbrella of the " winter Ghiras " program. This program offers an enjoyable opportunity for children aged 1-4 years during their winter break. It includes religious and educational activities that enhance Islamic values and Emirati identity in the children's hearts, expanding their horizons in an atmosphere filled with fun and learning.
The "Winter Ghiras" program at Al-Freej Nursery focuses on essential aspects of child upbringing, deepening the values and principles of our peaceful religion in daily life, such as the Islamic values derived from the verse "And when you are greeted with a greeting, greet with a better one," as well as drawing inspiration from the verses "Establish prayer, give zakah, and bow down with those who bow," and "Cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression."
The program also contributes to building a balanced personality that combines good manners and respect, enhancing effective communication with others. It instills positive Islamic values aimed at teaching honesty, respect, and responsibility, with practical applications in daily life, through attention to daily interactions such as greetings, seating arrangements, clothing, speech, and other related matters. Additionally, a variety of interactive and exciting workshops will be held for creative children, including workshops for memorizing the Surahs of Al-Nasr and Al-Kawthar, a special workshop on Emirati identity titled "The Young Emirati," an "Environmental Friends" workshop, and the "Young Creators" workshop.
Hamda Saif Al-Mutaiwi, Project Director, said, "Through these educational and cultural workshops, we aim to provide a safe and enjoyable learning environment for our children during their winter break, focusing on developing their social and creative skills through a variety of activities.
