"Al-Fareej Nursery": A Pioneering Model in Care Launched by IACAD and KHDA

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has officially launched the "Al-Fareej Nursery" in collaboration with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority. The nursery aims to promote the national identity and culture of Emirati children and represents a significant step in the department's mission as a center for cultural, religious, and educational enlightenment. The project seeks to achieve the objectives of Dubai's Social Agenda 33, which include fostering happier, more connected families that embrace national values.

The opening ceremony was attended by several officials, including Her Excellency Hessa Bint Issa Bouhmaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai, His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al-Mehairi, Director General of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities, and Her Excellency Aisha Abdullah Miran, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai, along with various representatives from government bodies.

In his remarks, His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al-Mehairi emphasized the IACAD’s commitment to building community cohesion through the proper upbringing of children based on Islamic values that align with Emirati traditions. He noted that "Al-Fareej Nursery" is the first of its kind, relying on skilled local mothers who specialize in working with young children, thus providing a nurturing environment that combines education with care. The nursery also introduces the concept of having a "grandmother" present to enhance the feeling of familial warmth and traditional care.

He further highlighted that the launch of "Al-Fareej Nursery" supports Emirati families by offering a comprehensive educational environment grounded in positive Islamic values. This nursery is not just a place for education, but a fundamental station for nurturing the spiritual and intellectual growth of children, contributing to the development of aware and cohesive generations that reflect the principles of Emirati society.

For her part, Her Excellency Aisha Abdullah Miran expressed her pleasure in collaborating with the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities to launch the "Al-Fareej Nursery." She described the initiative as a joint project aligned with Dubai's educational priorities and future strategies, aimed at providing tailored educational and care services for Emirati children across residential areas.

She added that the project is designed to meet the educational needs of Emirati families, instill positive values, and foster authentic Emirati culture in children, while also leveraging the skills of distinguished local talents, including "Al-Fareej mothers." The project is expected to benefit Emirati parents by providing essential educational and care services for their children.

This initiative reflects the ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships among government entities and deliver innovative solutions that support the development and care of children, while providing an educational environment that fosters holistic growth and builds a distinguished and aware generation.

The project team is excited to offer this valuable service to Emirati parents and hopes that "Al-Fareej Nursery" will help achieve the desired educational and developmental goals.
