The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) has announced the statistics for the “Ajyal” Program for the 2024-2025 academic year, highlighting a significant milestone in the number of beneficiaries and the quality of its educational outcomes. The program is implemented in strategic partnership with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai and aligns with the goals of the “Dubai Social Agenda 33,” which aims to enhance quality of life and build a cohesive society by raising community awareness on the importance of values in students’ lives and futures.
During the second semester, the program saw the participation of over 8,500 beneficiaries—reflecting a growth rate exceeding 90% compared to the first semester, which had over 4,400 participants. The number of lectures also increased from 55 in the first semester to 92 in the second semester, indicating growing interest from educational institutions and the expanding positive impact of the program on the school environment.
The “Ajyal” program is part of the “Ghiras Al Khair” initiative, which aims to instill humanitarian and educational values in students, parents, and educational staff, in alignment with the strategic plan of the department and the vision of the wise leadership to build a society founded on tolerance, coexistence, and social cohesion.
In this context, Mohammed Mehad Al Suwaidi, Director of the Department of Religious Education and Guidance, affirmed that the Ajyal Program represents a distinguished model in supporting the educational environment with values centered on tolerance and social responsibility. He highlighted the role of the partnership with KHDA in empowering thousands of students and enhancing their societal awareness, and emphasized their continued efforts to develop the program to achieve their shared goal of nurturing conscious and responsible generations.
Al Suwaidi added that the upcoming phase will witness further expansion and innovation in content delivery, contributing to the empowerment of young generations and preparing them to become ambassadors of values and ethics—capable of shouldering the responsibility of building a sustainable future rooted in family and community cohesion.
