The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) concluded the "Ajyal" (Generations) program, implemented in partnership with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), after making a tangible impact in the educational environment. During the 2024–2025 academic year, the program benefited over 19,000 students across various educational levels in Dubai. This was announced during a consultative meeting held by the Department, attended by His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General, alongside the program’s organizers and lecturers. The meeting aimed to discuss development strategies, address challenges and suggestions, and to document efforts while recognizing the contributions of the participating talents.
The program featured 209 awareness and educational lectures delivered in more than 30 private schools in Dubai. A total of 27 qualified national lecturers, specializing in religious and educational awareness, contributed to the initiative. The lectures were distinguished by interactive methods that took into account students' age and psychological differences, addressing their intellectual and behavioral needs. This approach strengthened the program’s position as a quality initiative that contributes to nurturing a generation that is confident in its identity, proud of its values, and equipped to contribute to societal progress.
"Ajyal" is considered a pioneering community initiative that works to instill Islamic principles and enhance national values within the educational environment. It offers contemporary content that promotes positive behaviors and aligns with the aspirations of the new generation. This aligns with the objectives of "Community Year 2025" and the goals of the "Dubai Social Agenda 33", aiming to embed values and expand the scope of social impact.
In this context, His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi expressed his pride in the program’s outcomes, emphasizing that these results reflect the department’s vision of effectively reaching the younger generations. He noted with pride the achievement of reaching nearly 20,000 students through more than 200 specialized lectures within a single academic year, highlighting the program’s powerful impact and the success of the lecturers in delivering its message.
His Excellency added during the meeting that “Ajyal” has surpassed its traditional awareness role to become an interactive platform that promotes value-based concepts and speaks to students’ minds and aspirations. The growing demand from schools to include the program in their awareness initiatives reflects the lecturers' success in engaging with students using a modern approach that considers their psychological, academic, and religious needs, while reinforcing their confidence in their identity and values.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of opinions and suggestions aimed at further developing and expanding the program. Emphasis was placed on the importance of continued institutional collaboration and ensuring the sustainability of the educational and awareness impact that “Ajyal” offers, as one of the key pillars in building a conscious generation committed to its values and capable of contributing to the advancement of society.
