Al Waleed Real Estate has contributed AED 500,000 in support of the “YAK Al Aoun 7” initiative. This donation is sufficient to secure the release of 10 Emirati citizens who are financially distressed and facing legal action.
The initiative—adopted by Emarat Al Youm, Dubai Courts, and the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai—aims to release 185 financially distressed Emirati citizens in Dubai who are facing legal claims due to outstanding financial cases. The total debts amount to AED 21,094,449, with the goal of reuniting them with their families before Eid Al-Fitr.
Emarat Al Youm was provided with the list of eligible beneficiaries after their files were reviewed and approved by the “Courts of Goodness” committee at Dubai Courts.
Previously, Tarahum Charity Foundation donated AED 2 million. With Al Waleed Real Estate’s contribution of AED 500,000, total donations since the initiative’s launch in the early days of Ramadan have reached AED 2.5 million, enabling the release of 26 beneficiaries.
The “Courts of Goodness” committee conducted settlement negotiations with creditors, successfully reducing total debts from AED 38,896,630 to AED 21,094,449.
Mohammed Abdulrazzaq Al Muttawa, CEO of Al Waleed Real Estate, stated that it is inspiring to witness individuals, companies, and institutions collaborating during these blessed days to support humanitarian initiatives, particularly “YAK Al Aoun,” which seeks to assist financially distressed individuals in Dubai.
He added that the company’s contribution aligns with its management’s commitment to social responsibility and participation in charitable and humanitarian initiatives across the UAE, believing in the importance of relieving the burdens of those in financial hardship and granting them a fresh start.
Judge Khalid Al Mansoori, Head of the Courts of Goodness Committee at Dubai Courts, emphasized that the initiative has a profound and lasting impact on beneficiary families, enhancing family stability, fostering reassurance, and reinforcing values of social solidarity.
Ibrahim Shukrallah, Editor-in-Chief of Emarat Al Youm, described “YAK Al Aoun 7” as a distinguished model of collaborative charity involving institutions, companies, and individuals. He noted that the donation from Al Waleed Real Estate reflects strong institutional solidarity and translates the national humanitarian agenda into meaningful action.
It is worth noting that a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in 2019 between Dubai Courts, Emarat Al Youm, and the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai to adopt the “YAK Al Aoun” initiative, encouraging private sector entities and business leaders to support financially distressed citizens facing legal claims.
Since its launch, “YAK Al Aoun” has contributed to the release of 875 financially distressed Emirati citizens in Dubai across previous seasons, with total support amounting to AED 116,984,016.
