A donor has covered AED 18,880 in accumulated school fees owed by (Abu Salma), after difficult financial circumstances prevented him from paying them on time. The donation allows Abu Salma’s four children to return to their classrooms and continue their educational journey alongside their classmates this academic year, after they were close to being deprived of schooling.

Abu Salma expressed his overwhelming happiness and deep gratitude to the donor, praising his support during the challenging circumstances he is facing. He also thanked the “Hotline” team at Emarat Al Youm newspaper for reaching out to him and making efforts to assist. He said, “Such a generous initiative is not unusual for the people and residents of the UAE, who are always ready to extend a helping hand to those in need inside and outside the country.” The “Hotline” coordinated between the donor and the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai to transfer the donation amount to the concerned entity.

On April 1, Emarat Al Youm published an appeal from (Abu Salma), in which he confirmed his inability to pay the outstanding school fees for his four children due to financial pressures. He explained that the school administration required full payment of the overdue amounts before allowing his children to return to class and continue their studies. However, his financial situation worsened significantly after the company he works for decided to reduce employees’ salaries, which led to accumulated debts and negatively affected his family’s financial stability, preventing him from paying the school fees for his children, who study at a private school in Ajman.

He added, “I have a family of six, and I am the sole breadwinner. I work in the engineering department at a private company in Dubai with a salary of AED 10,000. The school administration is demanding full payment of the outstanding fees for my children (Salma), (Hanaa), (Issa), and (Hanadi) in order to allow them to complete their academic year.” He emphasized that his children are academically outstanding and that he cannot bear seeing them lose a year of their lives without education due to circumstances beyond their control.
