A Donor Pays AED40,329 in Rent Arrears for "Abu Mohsen" in Coordination with IACAD and the "Hotline"

A donor has taken on the responsibility of paying AED 40,329 in rent arrears for "Abu Mohsen," whose health conditions forced him to leave his job, leading to a court ruling requiring him to pay the amount to the landlord. The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, in coordination with the "Hotline," helped transfer the amount to the beneficiary. "Abu Mohsen" expressed his deep gratitude to the donor, who alleviated his family's hardship and brought joy to his children, emphasizing that this donation reflects the generosity of the people of the UAE, known for their solidarity with those in need.

"Abu Mohsen" shared his story, saying: "I was living a normal life without any financial distress, but three years ago, my situation started to deteriorate. Debts accumulated, and financial difficulties weighed heavily on me, making it impossible to pay the rent. Despite receiving an extension from the landlord, I couldn’t settle the arrears, which led to a report being filed against me, turning it into a case, and an executive ruling was issued for me to pay the amount."

He pointed out that he tried to raise the money from family and friends but failed due to their own financial difficulties, and he also sought help from charitable organizations without success. He added that he is the sole breadwinner for his family, which consists of three children, the oldest being 12 years old and the youngest 7 years old. Despite securing a new job with a salary of AED 6,450, his income is insufficient to cover living expenses. Despite his numerous attempts to reach a settlement with the landlord, the latter insisted on full payment.
