A donor has committed to paying AED 26,218 to cover the treatment costs for "Abu Omar" for six months. Al-Emarat Al-Youm's "Hotline" coordinated between the donor and the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department in Dubai to transfer the amount to the patient’s account at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City Hospital, allowing him to continue receiving treatment. He suffers from diabetes, which has led to several other health issues, including high cholesterol, high blood pressure, as well as joint and nerve inflammation, and eye problems.
"Abu Omar" expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the donor for his swift support and generosity, affirming that such humanitarian acts are not unusual for the people of the UAE, who are well-known for their benevolence and generosity. He described the deterioration of his health, mentioning that he suddenly lost consciousness while having lunch with his wife, which necessitated emergency intervention and his transfer to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City Hospital. After undergoing tests, it was revealed that he had severe hypertension and high cholesterol, and he later suffered from diabetes and eye-related health issues.
The patient stated that his ongoing treatment costs amount to AED26,218, a sum he could not afford. However, he deeply appreciates this support, which will help him continue his treatment and regularly monitor his health condition.
