A donor has volunteered to pay AED 14,000 in rental arrears for "Abu Ali" in coordination with IACAD and the "Hotline"

A donor has volunteered to pay AED 14,000 in outstanding rent arrears for 'Abu Ali' (37 years old), who has been facing financial difficulties that prevented him from making the payment. This followed a lawsuit filed by the landlord demanding the full amount. The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai collaborated with the 'Hotline' to transfer the payment to the relevant party.

'Abu Ali' expressed his heartfelt thanks to the donor for their support during this challenging time, emphasizing that helping those in need and assisting others is a common value among the people of the UAE.

Earlier, Emirates Today had published the story of 'Abu Ali's' struggle, as he was unable to pay the remaining balance of his rent. In an interview with the newspaper, he explained that he had been renting a home in Umm Al-Quwain with his family without financial issues, but his situation had worsened recently, making it impossible for him to continue making rent payments.

'Abu Ali' clarified that the total rent was 25,000 AED for the year, of which he had paid 11,000 AED. However, he was unable to pay the remaining 14,000 AED, leading the landlord to file a lawsuit against him. He also pointed out that he is the sole provider for his family and works in a government job with a monthly salary of 10,000 AED, most of which goes towards daily living expenses, leaving him unable to pay the outstanding rental amount. Furthermore, he mentioned that he had applied for assistance from charitable organizations, but had not received any response.
