A donor has paid AED 40,000 to cover the cost of chemotherapy sessions needed by (Abu Ayham – 56), who has been suffering from bladder cancer for seven months. He previously underwent surgery to remove the tumor, but was awaiting the completion of the necessary treatment to prevent the disease from spreading to other parts of his body.
The “Hotline” coordinated with the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai to transfer the donation amount to the patient’s account at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi.
The patient’s wife expressed her deep gratitude and happiness toward the donor for helping to end her husband’s suffering amid the family’s difficult financial circumstances. She affirmed that the donation brought great relief and joy to her husband, noting that acts of generosity are not unusual among the people of the UAE.
Emarat Al Youm had previously published, on November 18, the story of (Abu Ayham), as narrated by his wife. She explained that her husband’s condition deteriorated seven months ago, leading to an emergency hospital admission. Medical tests and scans revealed a cancerous tumor in the bladder, and he underwent surgery to remove it.
She added that the doctor emphasized the need for chemotherapy sessions to control the disease and prevent its spread. A treatment plan was set, which contributed to improving his condition, with strict instructions to attend regular medical follow-ups.
The wife continued that her husband’s condition deteriorated again recently, and the doctor stressed the urgency of beginning additional chemotherapy sessions, noting that the total cost amounts to AED 40,000 at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi.
