The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai has launched the Imam Al-Baghawi Week (may Allah have mercy on him), aiming to highlight Imam Al-Baghawi’s scholarly stature, introduce his methodology in Qur’anic interpretation, and showcase his contributions to the service of the Holy Qur’an, while promoting awareness of authentic Islamic heritage through a contemporary approach that meets the needs of society. The program features a series of lectures, mosque lessons, and awareness materials held at a number of mosques across Dubai, in addition to informative visual content published through the Department’s platforms. The events conclude with general mosque lessons focusing on the life and scholarly legacy of Imam Al-Baghawi (may Allah have mercy on him), contributing to the consolidation of sound Islamic knowledge and strengthening the community’s connection with Qur’anic sciences. Lecture Schedule and Venues: Tuesday, 23 December 2025 Lecture after Isha prayer titled “The Tafsir of Imam Al-Baghawi (may Allah have mercy on him)” Speaker: Sheikh Khalid Ismail Venue: Ibad Al Rahman Mosque – Al Barsha Thursday, 25 December 2025 Lecture after Isha prayer titled “Pages from the Life of Imam Al-Baghawi (may Allah have mercy on him)” Speaker: Dr. Abdullah Al Kamali Venue: Salem bin Bukhaith Mosque – Al Mizhar Saturday, 27 December 2025 Lecture after Maghrib prayer titled “Tafsir of Surah Al-Fatihah from Imam Al-Baghawi’s Tafsir” Speaker: Sheikh Khalid Al Ghareeb Venue: Al Shaheed Issa Mosque – Hatta The activities conclude on Sunday, 28 December 2025, with mosque lessons held in all mosques across Dubai after Maghrib prayer, focusing on the life of Imam Al-Baghawi (may Allah have mercy on him). The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai announces the launch of The First Academic Course: Qur’an Circles, under the program Riyadh Al-Qur’an – Nad Al Sheba Women’s Center, presented by Ms. Mona Tareq Al Alili. This course aims to strengthen participants’ connection with the Holy Qur’an through scholarly gatherings that combine sound academic foundations with practical application. The program covers key themes including Qur’anic Sciences, Principles of Qur’anic Interpretation, and Living by the Qur’an, contributing to a deeper understanding of the Qur’an and its impact on daily life. The course is designed for women and will be held every Wednesday, starting from January 7, 2026, until March 4, 2026, comprising 9 academic sessions, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
