The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has launched the largest community Ramadan event under the title "Ayal Al-Fareej." The initiative aims to encourage children to regularly attend prayers and strengthen their connection with mosques during the holy month of Ramadan. This exceptional initiative comes in response to the community's need for accessible and innovative ways to connect younger generations with mosques and activate the role of mosques as community and educational centers in residential neighborhoods.

    The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department is organizing the “Means of Steadfastness in Ramadan” event, presented by Dr. Najat Alawi, on March 9, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The lecture will focus on maintaining continuity in acts of worship after Ramadan through key topics, including: The importance of consistency in worship and avoiding seasonal devotion. Identifying the main causes of spiritual decline after periods of heightened devotion and ways to address them. Practical methods for steadfastness and righteousness, including simple daily programs to help maintain worship after Ramadan. This event is part of the Department’s efforts to raise religious awareness and provide practical guidance to the community to sustain steadfastness in faith and devotion.

    The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai is organizing the “Step of Life” Marathon on March 7 after Taraweeh prayers, in conjunction with Zayed Humanitarian Day, as part of the “Ramadan in Dubai” and “Al Welfa Season” initiatives. The marathon transforms participants’ steps into charitable contributions supporting beneficiaries, in an initiative that combines health and giving, offering multiple race distances for all age groups, along with prizes and participation certificates.

    “Young Reciter” Initiative

    The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, in collaboration with the Community Development Authority – Dubai, launched the “Young Reciter” initiative from February 23 to March 5, across five community locations including neighborhood councils in Al Khawaneej, Hatta, Umm Suqeim, Nad Al Sheba, and Al Warqa. The initiative targeted over 400 participants, including 190 girls and 201 boys, aiming to instill love for the Holy Qur’an in children, develop correct recitation skills, foster moral values, link Qur’anic teachings to daily behavior, and strengthen their Islamic identity and values. The program was implemented by an educational team of 12 teachers who provided a comprehensive educational content combining recitation with the practical application of Qur’anic values, enhancing the children’s connection to the Book of Allah through reading and reflection, in a safe and stimulating learning environment.
