The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai is organizing the 20th edition of the Institutional Excellence Award Ceremony, marking a milestone that reflects a long-standing journey of structured institutional work and reaffirms the Department’s commitment to embedding a culture of excellence as a sustainable approach, motivating talents, and enhancing performance quality and innovation in service of the community and the nation. The ceremony will honor a distinguished group of entities, institutions, departments, initiatives, and individuals in recognition of their qualitative contributions and impactful achievements during 2025, embodying institutional integration and alignment with the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership to advance government performance, strengthen sustainability, and create long-term positive impact.

Pursuant to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, may God protect him, to celebrate the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the sisterly State of Kuwait, it has been decided to mark this occasion starting from 29 January for a period of one week across all Emirates of the country. In this context, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, affirmed that Emirati society does not forget the historic stances of the State of Kuwait, directing the Government of Dubai to participate in celebrating the exceptional relations between the two countries, in response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, may God protect him.

Correct Your Recitation and Complete the Holy Qur’an

The Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has launched the Qur’anic program “Correct Your Recitation and Complete the Holy Qur’an”, as part of its efforts to promote Qur’anic culture and encourage correct recitation across the community. The program aims to enable participants to master Qur’an recitation and complete the Holy Qur’an with confidence before the holy month. It targets girls aged 7 and above, women, and senior female citizens, and is delivered through a remote learning platform that offers ease and flexibility. The program begins on 3 Sha’ban 1447 AH, with registration open from 30 Rajab to 2 Sha’ban 1447 AH, subject to the ability to read from the Mushaf and commitment to the scheduled sessions.

As part of the Riyadh Al-Qur’an program at Nad Al Sheba Women’s Center, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai is organizing a specialized scholarly course entitled “Sharh Kitab Al-Adhkar by Imam Al-Nawawi”, delivered by lecturer Maryam Ahmed Al Haddad. The course aims to highlight the significance of remembrance (dhikr) in the Holy Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah, and its role in purifying the soul and guiding upright conduct. The course covers the virtues of dhikr, the most important daily supplications, and their practical benefits in a Muslim’s life, presented in a simplified academic style suitable for all levels. The course will be held remotely via Microsoft Teams every Sunday starting from January 25, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. It is exclusively for women, and participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
