Masajid Al Freej" Initiative Promotes Community Giving by IACAD

As part of the "Community Year 2025" initiative, which aims to realize a national vision that strengthens shared values and enhances human connections, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department has launched the "Masajid Al Freej" initiative. This initiative provides every individual with the opportunity to contribute effectively to the care and upkeep of nearby mosques, fostering a sense of community responsibility and embodying the spirit of solidarity through collective efforts to serve the houses of Allah. The initiative reflects IACAD’s strategy for the years 2025-2027 under the slogan "Closer to the Community," ensuring the sustainability of initiatives that strengthen the bonds between community members and institutions.

Statement by His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi regarding the Masajid Al Freej Initiative

His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al-Muhairi, Director-General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, emphasized that the initiative comes in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, to make giving a way of life. H.E explained that "Masajid Al Freej" meets the individual's need for giving, as it strengthens a sense of belonging and deepens the feeling of responsibility towards the community, which positively impacts everyone. . His Excellency added that, driven by a desire to be closer to the community and understand its needs, IACAD’s studied individuals' desires and aspirations regarding opportunities to care for mosques. It became essential to create convenient ways that allow people to become active participants in the houses of Allah through simple and flexible methods.

Mr. Mohammed Jassim Al-Mansoori, Director of Customer Service and the manager of the initiative, clarified that " Masajid Al Freej" was launched based on a deep understanding of the community’s needs and its attachment to mosques. He affirmed that every contribution, no matter how small, makes a big difference. Al-Mansoori added that the initiative strengthens individuals' roles in taking on their community responsibilities by providing easy means of participation, making every contribution a success story that benefits everyone. This initiative is part of Dubai’s strategic directions to promote community and humanitarian work, where secure and transparent channels have been provided to ensure that contributions reach the mosques, resulting in a direct and sustainable impact. "Our Mosque Quran" – A New Package Under "Masajid Al Freej" Initiatives

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has announced the launch of a new package under its “Masajid Al Freej"initiative, named "Our Mosque Quran." This package aims to provide Qurans to mosques across Dubai and offers the opportunity for members of the community to contribute to this charitable effort. Mr. Mohamed Jasim Al Mansoori, Director of the Customer Service Department and Project Manager, stated that the launch of this package comes in response to the community’s needs and its connection with mosques, in alignment with IACAD’s vision to be closer to the community. He emphasized that providing Qurans in places of worship is one of the greatest forms of ongoing charity, benefiting both contributors and worshippers alike. Al Mansoori added: "Through this initiative, we aim to facilitate the contribution of individuals and institutions in supporting mosques with Qurans, which contributes to spreading the culture of contemplation of the Holy Quran and enhancing noble Islamic values."
