Launching the Eyal Al-Firij Initiative

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai launched the "Eyal Al-Firij" initiative during the holy month of Ramadan to encourage children’s commitment to prayer and strengthen their connection with mosques. The initiative involves distributing prayer passports to track attendance at Taraweeh prayers in 180 mosques, along with motivational rewards. Building on this success, the department launched the “Fitrah Ayal Al-Fareej” initiative on the 20th of Ramadan to educate children about Zakat Al-Fitr through hands-on field experiences in mosques, under the supervision of specialized preachers—emphasizing the mosque’s educational and social role..

IACAD Launches "Ayal Al-Freej" – The Largest Ramadan Initiative to Instill Love for Prayer in the Hearts of Youth and Strengthen Their Connection to Mosques

In a pioneering move that reflects its commitment to enhancing Islamic values and identity in the hearts of the younger generation, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has launched the largest community Ramadan event under the title "Ayal Al-Fareej." The initiative aims to encourage children to regularly attend prayers and strengthen their connection with mosques during the holy month of Ramadan. This exceptional initiative comes in response to the community's need for accessible and innovative ways to connect younger generations with mosques and activate the role of mosques as community and educational centers in residential neighborhoods.

His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi Statement Regarding the "Ramadan in Dubai" Initiative

In line with the gracious directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmad bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of the Dubai Media Council, to launch the "Ramadan in Dubai" campaign for the year 1446 AH: His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director-General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, stated: "Our participation in the 'Ramadan in Dubai' campaign is part of our vision to enhance the role of mosques as community and religious centers, and to affirm that IACAD’s message of spreading the authentic Emirati identity in the hearts of our youth. Through our diverse activities, we aim to reach all segments of society and keep pace with developments through innovative methods that combine the spirituality of worship with the generosity of giving, in line with IACAD’s strategy of being 'Closer to the Community.'"

H.E added: "This participation supports the Year of Community, which aims to strengthen social bonds and community cohesion through innovative activities that reflect authentic humanitarian and religious values. Among the most prominent activities this year is the 'Dubai Reciters' initiative, which hosts a selection of famous reciters from the UAE to revive the nights of Ramadan and lead the Taraweeh and Qiyam prayers in Dubai's mosques. We also offer lectures and religious courses in multiple languages to ensure the message reaches everyone. We have made sure to involve all segments of society through interactive community initiatives such as 'Step of Life' in its third edition, Ayal Al Freej, the largest Ramadan initiative this month, and 'Pulse of Dubai' to enhance family and community ties."

IACAD Launches the "Fitrah Ayal Al-Freej" Initiative to Enhance Children's Awareness of Zakat Al-Fitr

Continuing the success of the "Ayal Al-Freej" initiative, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has announced the launch of the sub-initiative "Fitrah Ayal Al-Freej." The initiative aims to revive the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) regarding the payment of Zakat Al-Fitr and introduce children to the concept through a direct hands-on experience, with the participation of specialized counselors and supervisors.

His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al-Muhairi, Director-General of IACAD, stated that this initiative comes in response to the large turnout that "Ayal Al-Freej" has witnessed since the beginning of Ramadan. He emphasized that "Fitrah Ayal Al-Freej" represents an additional step to further strengthen children's connection with mosques and Islamic culture through practical educational methods.

"Eyal Al-Firij" Concludes Its Main Events... and the Distribution of Eid Gifts Continues to Enhance the Joyful Atmosphere Until the End of Ramadan

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai concluded the "Ayal Al-Freej" event on the 20th of Ramadan, after it brought smiles to the faces of children and families. The event contributed significantly to enhancing religious awareness and fostering Islamic values among the youth, through interactive and educational activities organized in mosques and community centers. This was in line with the Year of Community and IACAD’s strategy of being closer to the community. Although the main event has ended, the accompanying initiatives launched by IACAD continue. Among the key initiatives is the "Fitrah Eyal Al-Freej" program, which runs until the 28th of Ramadan. This initiative aims to instill the concept of Zakat al-Fitr in children in a practical way by involving them in the preparation and distribution of Zakat under the supervision of a group of religious counselors, in order to instill the values of solidarity and mercy in their hearts from a young age, at a selected mosque during this period.

On this occasion, Mohammed Musabeh Dhahi, the Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector and the General Coordinator of the "Ramadan in Dubai" initiative, emphasized that the "Eyal Al-Freej" events are a living example of the educational and humanitarian role that community initiatives can play. He said, "We don’t just bring joy, we instill the meanings of mercy and solidarity in the hearts of the younger generations. These initiatives stem from a deep belief that children are the cornerstone of building a cohesive, compassionate community that is tied to its values and identity."

Dhahi also confirmed that The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department continues its efforts to make mosques vibrant community centers, through events that bring children closer to their religious environment and integrate them into purposeful interactive activities. IACAD invites all members of the community to participate in these remaining events and contribute to spreading joy and happiness during these blessed days.
